Some like it Hot !
Summer is here and it is hot. We enjoyed a mild spring through the first of June. We then took a sudden sprint toward Summer and quickly we were at 90+ degrees. Scott is like a popcicle in this weather, always melting. Heather likes the heat and welcomes it.
The kids have enjoyed time away from school and have spend many a days at the water park keeping cool.
Scott has managed to get out fishing more this year than in times past. James and Brad have accompanied him a few times and have caught the fishing "bug". Suprisingly James likes to eat watch he catches. Haley went once, only once. After begging the boys to throw back every fish they caught she was no longer invited to go (:
In a recent outing to a local reservoir James caught the biggest fish in the place. About 18-19 inches and roughly 3 lbs. Not bad for a small reservoir.
We recently left the world behind and went camping up in the mountains. The kids loved making smores and building a fire. I can do without the lously sleep you get in a tent, but the memories are quite worth it. Suprisingly it got really cold at night. I think I'm going to build my next home up there.
We enjoyed a patriotic 4th of July. We started out at the local "Provo parade", one of the largest 4th of July parades in the West. We then ate at big Jim's diner which is fast becoming a tradition - mostly because of their huge portions. That afternoon we spent gathered with a handfull of neighbors bar-b-q ing, throwing water balloons, and swimming in the neighbors pool. The night was capped off with "a lot" of fireworks.
God bless America !

Welcome, Welcome Spring !
June is nearly here and we are enjoying these mild sunny days. It has been a slightly cooler spring than normal but you will not hear any complaining from us. It has been in the mid- to upper 60's most of May with a few hot days thrown in there.
This Spring we celebrated a few Birthdays. Heather turned 30-something on April the 6th. James turned 11 years young on April the 16th. For James' birthday he got his wish and we took the family along with several friends to Lazer Assault, a laser tag place in Provo . Brad absolutely loved it and asked to come back for his birthday.
Brad turned 7 years young on May 18th. Instead of laser tag we went to Chuck E Cheese to enjoy a cheesy good time with a huge rat named Chucky. They had a good time playing games and earning prizes.
James, Haley and Brad finished strong on their soccer teams this spring. Haley who had been a bit hesitant through the year scored 3 goals in her last game of the year. Saved the best for last I guess.
We don't have any big vacation plans for the summer as we went to Disneyland in January. Which is a good time of year to go - by the way. Hardly any lines and mild weather. Mostly trying to stay cool at the local water park and enjoying time away from school for the kids.
Take care, y'all
